Missing paper title? Start with the ownership facts instead of assuming the sale is impossible
A missing California paper title does not automatically mean a vehicle cannot be purchased. Depending on the record, lien status, registered owner, and vehicle, California has replacement or transfer procedures that can use the proper DMV paperwork.
